winter
A shore sighting is a bonus; look at reachable floating cover during mild weather.
spring
Watch shaded debris and markers as water warms; do not cast into boat traffic.
summer
Keep a lively shrimp ready when floating shade drifts within safe casting range.
fall
Check reachable shade on calm days. A precise drift is more useful than repeated casts.
